On Lake Burton, 25 Shoreline Trail, Clarkesville, Georgia 30523
They say it’s better to have a friend with a boat than to have a boat, and the boating scene on Lake Burton at Bowline was a cool scene, with lots of boats docked, but we were perfectly fine and fit in being civilians who stopped by for a drink and a bite. This is a dog friendly, NO CASH (card or Apple Pay), cool boat scene with a grill with a simple but good menu (burger, hot dog, fish taco, etc.) and good food (we had the hot dog and fries and they were excellent, and the bartenders were real pros. So if you like to hang out by the water, we recommend Bowline. It does require in our opinion a nice day as it is all outdoors and maybe a small group could stand under the outdoor roof, but this is an outdoors bar and great for drinks and an easy lunch.
