230 Henry Evans Road, Ellijay, Georgia 30536
For starters, Ott is a beautiful and extra large space with a lovely view of the mountains and the vineyards. The space is very grand and large. You can bring a LARGE party here, and I bet the patio gets a good crowd on the weekend. We visited Ott on a Thursday so the crowd was light, but we did run into a couple who were also visiting all the Ellijay wineries! Ott does have some very good looking gear and merchandise for sale. See the images of just some of their great looking gear.
The wines have clever names, and there are many sweet options, and here is our review of the wines we tasted:
- Golden Promise – Lovely! Exactly the wine you want to enjoy with a great view! Got hints of gooseberry, kiwi, honey, and the finish was Not Sweet.
- Fascination – Very tart finish with astringency.
- Make Me Blush – A fun wine that reminded us of strawberry shortcake even with the whipped cream on top! Tart on the tongue; this is a high octane wine.
- Believe – Super smooth, not tannic, nice fruit taste, great introductory Red Wine if you do not normally drink Reds as this does have the complexity of some Reds. After drinking it we both exclaimed “I’m a Believer!”
Remember to tip 15-20% as traditional and tell them you read a review on NorthGeorgiaCulture.com.
