What a fine brunch spot for a fine meal and bloody mary on a Sunday! We stopped in Public House in the Fall 2025 for brunch on a Sunday, and would return! While not crowded, we got the feel that they are livelier and busier in the evening, but this worked for us because we love sitting at the bar. The bartender was lovely, charming, and attentive, and the brunch menu looked great – hard to choose! This was a Sunday, so the TVs at the bar were set to the NFL, and they have a fully stocked bar of spirits, wine, and beer.

The Reuben sandwich (our favorite kind of sandwich so we consider ourselves “Reuben aficionados”) was perfectly mixed, stacked, formed, toasted, the bread was just the right thickness (you want more thin than thick!), and it was not messy. A masterpiece! The French Fries were very good, skin on fries that asked for just a dash of salt. We also order the salad with salmon, specifying the salmon to be as “Rare” as possible. Guess what, their kitchen knew what Rare salmon was! They also respected the request for dressing on the side, and the salad, dressing, and salmon were very good. The salmon filet would be a very good entree too. As well, the Bloody Mary was a fine concoction and then they had a nice variety of Lager beers (our favorite).

Admire the works of art along the hallway when you enter Public House. We don’t know if the artwork changes or rotates, but we love the chance to see original art. North Georgia Culture looks forward to returning for another brunch most likely, and highly recommend this fine North Georgia restaurant and bar.
