May 2026 Updated Review: This was my return visit for a review so I was very interested to see if I was as impressed as I was when I visited shortly after they opened, and I was. The staff are real pros; Kayeigh was the young lady helping us as out server and she was very professional and attentive, when attention was needed. Again, all the staff are real pros working to complement and enhance your meal. The slaw was nice, light and bright. The brisket does not need sauce, although the sauces are nice (more on that to come), and it is moist, seasoned, slightly peppery, and they knew what I wanted when I requested “fatty.” The pulled pork is also flavorful and MOIST – That is not easy to accomplish with BBQ pork. Now on to the sauces – the Signature sauce is a Classic BBQ sauce that is just right for every and any taste who would like a little extra flavor. We read the ingredients on the bottle in fact and it is very high quality premium sauce and we would add it to our kitchen. Now the Spicy Sauce was our favorite! It is not “hot hot” but more like a spicy tomato based sauce, really nice blend of flavors and high end premium spices and ingredients. We would also add this to our kitchen shelf. The collard greens were very good, cooked over a long period of time with bacon, and we Do recommend adding the pepper sauce for a zing and a kick and for us it is the traditional way to eat collard greens. Our server was named Kayleigh and she was a real pro, attentive to us, and knew how to let their customers enjoy the experience too. So we highly recommend Wolf Creek and are thankful that they set up shop here in White County!

Early 2026 review when Wolf Creek opened: North Georgia Culture loves Babyland General (it is one the finest companies in North Georgia with a charming museum on lovely grounds), and now Babyland General is even more appealing a destination as it hosts the famous Wolf Creek Barbeque!

While North Georgia Culture have not visited the original Wolf Creek in Clarkesville, we have heard good things about it, and they exceeded our expectations here in Cleveland’s newest eatery. The service was excellent – they were polite and attentive and knew what we meant when we ordered the brisket “part fatty and part lean.” The brisket was perfectly spiced and as ordered, I had half lean and half marbled and fatty. The Collard Greens were not too wet, but were peppery and spicy, which we loved. Maybe that is their special recipe! The coleslaw was light, not too creamy, and no seasoning was needed at all. All of the sides were spiced, seasoned, and cooked to a perfection.

We only added the signature BBQ house sauce to the brisket so we could try it, and it was a very fine complement to the leaner cuts of the brisket. The fatty brisket was juicy and moist and tender, and the lean cuts were very good, but the Wolf Creek sauce is also very good, spicy, peppery, not sweet, and we suggest a light swipe to the lean brisket cuts. We were there on a Sunday when they opened at 11am, and we suggest getting there early, when they open, to beat the Church crowd who were rolling in and lining up around Noon when we were finished.

We will return to try all their chicken and pork!!!! Please tell the fine folks at Wolf Creek that you read about them at northgeorgiaculture.com!
