335 Marina Dr, Blue Ridge, Georgia 30513
This place does not feel like you are in Georgia anymore! You feel like you are maybe in the Caribbean, or Southern California, or Key West, but not like Georgia! We say that in a good way too! The Boat Dock Bar and Grill is just outside of Blue Ridge and is the main drinking hole and restaurant for the boaters and friends of Blue Ridge Lake. The bartender, gentleman named Bill is clearly a pro and manages and multi-tasks all the drink and food orders with ease, allowing the patrons to chit chat, talk and just enjoy the scene. We had the wings, dry rub style, and they were excellent. Clear that they have a nice light dry rub that flavors the wings that were not too hot or too spicey. There were two of us and the kitchen was kind enough to split the wing order into two! First Class! We also ordered the Trout Dip, and found it hearty and meaty with a good amount of trout. It was NOT thinned out as so many trout dips can be and was one of those dips that requires some self restraint as it was so rich and good and packed with flavor.
We were on our way to Blue Ridge so could not stay and hang out, but we wager Boat Dock attracts a fun crowd, and we would definitely return again, and would return again as NON boat people. Remember to tip 15-20% and tell them you read about them at NorthGeorgiaCulure.com!
