We love visiting Clayton (see our review of Vandiver for instance among other tasting rooms) and we loved hanging out at Currahee Brewing. We took home a 6-pack of their signature lager! The brewery is open air with garage doors in the front that remain up and open on nice days, and down and closed in the winter. They have plenty of outdoor seating too and host private events. We loved the original artwork that was for sale and they have a few very impressive murals. As well, we applaud them for hosting special nights that benefit local charities and animal shelters, and they also respect and treat first responders, teachers, military and Appalachian Trail hikers to a free beer! The bartender was a pro and charming and funny, and they are dog friendly (make sure your dog is leashed and well mannered)!
We suggest the Ole Appalachia Lager for a clean, smooth, refreshing lager. If you like IPAs and other craft brews, we overheard many conversations about how their are plenty of good choices depending on your preference.
