We went to Whiskey & Water eager to try their seafood and steaks, but the lunch menu sounded so good that we ordered the lunch specials! The space is tastefully decorated with original art, some regional art, and wood rustic decor, all very tastefully designed that make you want a nice whiskey on the rocks. While this was lunch time, we enjoyed a local beer, Peach State Lite, that we had never hear of before, but we are paying attention now as it is a smooth and fine lager; you could enjoy a few without even knowing it! Now on to our meals!

The gyros and fries were outstanding. This was a nice, fancy, proper gyro, not a sloppy, messy gyro. The tzatziki sauce was great thickness that held to the gyro meat and the onion and tomato were fresh. The gyro meat was spiced and flavorful, and would have been tasty by itself. The fries were thick, prepared to order and seasoned, and we like to add a few to our gyro too.

The Shrimp Po-Boy was also excellent. It was not messy or sloppy, the blackened shrimp were flavorful and did not need a flake or pepper or crystal of salt, and the bread was light. We were worried at first that the bread would be too much, but it was light and fresh so did not suffocate the shrimp (we have had sandwiches that are so much bread it suffocates and minimizes the main sandwich). The fried green tomatoes were also fresh and what a nice option to offer!

The bartender was lovely and charming and a professional, and we look forward to returning next visit to Blue Ridge. Whiskey & Water Seafood and Bourbon Bar of Blue Ridge, Georgia were also recognized by the Georgia Business Journal in 2024 and what a great call! Remember to tip 15-20% and tell them you read about Whiskey & Water at NorthGeorgiaCulture.com.
