Kerith House (near Blue Ridge, Georgia) – Winery Review

Kerith House August 2025

611 Maple Grove Rd, Morganton, Georgia 30560

As we drove up the drive to Kerith House on our way to Blue Ridge, and then when we stepped out out of the car, and then entered the Kerith House tasting room, we finally exclaimed “This is going to be very good,” and Kerith House delivered an exceptional wine tasting experience at every step and we were impressed and thankful and delighted with the high-end experience at Kerith. Kerith House opened this year, and they are fully operational with wonderful wines (that we will get to soon), exceptional professional staff, and a gorgeous tasting room, patio, and fine array of snacks, and they shared the exciting news that they are planning to serve food later this year. We will be returning for that! Now on to the wines at Kerith House, that were presented in the most charming and most logical display as the photo below shows, and our review of the Dry wines we selected:

  1. Petit Manseng – Nice, delightful in fact, perfect for the summer day in August we visited, hints of pineapple, mango, passionflower, and honey.
  2. Traminette – This is a French-American hybrid grape that we see everywhere here in North Georgia where it is traditionally grown. Traminettes always are more sweet than other Dry wines, but this is not a sweet wine here at Kerith House. This was still a Dry wine, masterfully so, with citrus on the nose, floral on the palette and very flavorful and we thought this wine would also be delightful in a spritzer especially for a very hot day (which it was).
  3. Merlot – Very nice Red even for a very hot day, tasting stone fruit. We would take home a bottle and save it for a winter night!
  4. Georgia Crimson Premium – Just great! Similar to the Merlot but with a little more complexity, darker, deeper, and more rich than the Merlot. Like a wine lover’s wine. So good.

The staff at Kerith House were exceptional, informed, and charming, and the snacks were the finest curated collection we had ever seen and we are addicted to the trufffle peanuts offered at Kerith House. Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome and Kerith House has a station for water bowls available to their guests with dogs. The pictures show you what beautiful ground that surround you, and we plan to return for this same tasting and to procure more of these wines we tried, and highly recommend adding Kerith House to your Blue Ridge, Georgia weekend or getaway. Please remember to tip the exemplary staff for their fine professional service and please tell them you read a review on NorthGeorgiaCulture.com.
