April 27, 2025 update: Dined today and had a very fine brisket with 2 sides meal. I chose french fries and collard greens. The fries were seasoned and hot, and the collards were a favorite homestyle recipe; nothing needed salt or pepper. I order the brisket partially fatty and partially lean, and it was delivered perfectly so. BIG TIP: They get very busy on Sunday with the post Church crowd. Unless you are at a service, we suggest going as close to 11am opening as possible to be able to to dine in or pick up without waiting in line.

We love the brisket at North Georgia Barbeque and it clearly is smoked and prepared for hours. We do not use any sauce; we are purists like that and prefer to try the flavor and seasoning used in preparing the brisket, but sauces are available. We like our brisket fatty but the lean pieces are delicious as well. The smoked chicken wings are also excellent, and do not require sauce, and the rack of ribs are also very fine and fall off the bone. We have also ordered the pulled pork and while it is very good, pork tends to be dry, so we do use their signature house hot sauce at a minimum for the pulled pork. The sides are excellent and the potato salad is one of the best we have ever had, and we wish we knew the secret to their recipe. The cole slaw and french fries are also great. We always get our order to go. The restaurant does offer booths for dining inside, but the decor and ambience are sparce and can be very quiet, and there is not a lot of artwork or design or decoration inside, so we just prefer taking their fine food home. Please note this is not fast food, and everything is prepared for you per order, so order ahead or allow time for your order. The wait is totally worth it and our meals have always remained hot by the time we got home and served our plates.
