Address for GPS: 312 Conasauga Drive, Cleveland, Georgia 30528 (Take the road in front of White County High School and then the first right)
April 2025 update: We were at a fundraiser for the Charles Smithgall Humane Society, and noticed that this winery had donated wine and wine accessories for their silent auction. So while we already really liked Limoges, we like them more knowing they support the Humane Society and rescue dogs and cats.
Limoges Cellars is one of our favorite wineries for a number of reason – they are producing some excellent dry wines of their own, the owners and staff are awesome, and they are open until 8pm, including Mondays (many establishments are closed on Monday).
Back to the wines, most of the wines are made on site in their cellars, and their vines are very close to the tasting room that has a charming outdoor porch with picnic tables where dogs are welcome if they are on leash and well behaved. My personal favorite wine is their dry Femme Salee, and my wife, who has tried most of their wines, and is a wine connoisseur, likes all of them! They have snack like meats and cheeses from a self-serve refrigerator and some excellent potato chips. The beers are also quite nice, and one of their lagers is served as a 16 ounce pour.
We suggest plotting the address in to GPS as the location is somewhat secluded, and that affords one of the best views in the area. Again, when they are open, they are open until 8pm, which is late in these parts, and they are open Monday which is not common. When visiting, ask about special events and sign up for their emails. They offer special tastings on occasion, and a special opportunity to volunteer during a grape harvest. Enjoy the view and scenery while driving up their driveway, and be sure to stay for a sunset.
